Hello!
My name is Melita and I am the founder of Q for Quinn. We create happy and healthy products that are good for us and also our planet.
I have been meaning to create a weekly periodical for a while to inform and educate our consumers on the toxins in children's clothing. Our experience in manufacturing happy and healthy socks has brought to light the many harmful chemicals and toxins in our clothing.
We are however living in unprecedented times and we believe it might be more fitting if we focused on maintaining our family's health and well-being in all aspects of our current life, not just clothing.
Being a mom of a 3 year old and 1 year old while running a small business is challenging. It has and will always be hard. I have been working from home on my passion project Q for Quinn while also taking care of two little ones for just over two years now. This does not make me qualified to share tips and advice on how to best manage the situation but maybe I'm a bit more familiar with our current reality than some of you.
We are extremely lucky to go through this at a time where we have access to so much information and resources in our fingertips.
However, I don't know about you, but I feel a little overwhelmed (and sometimes paralyzed) by all the information and resources. There's almost too much. So I am taking the effort to try to filter through the noise to really find truly helpful resources and options to keep my family happy and healthy in this current reality.
Here's what to expect from our weekly guide:
1) Links to resources and information to stay happy and healthy in 5 key areas of our current lives: 1) eating, 2) exercising, 3) keeping kids playing and learning, 4) self care and 5) having productive work days.
2) A loose schedule / plan for the upcoming week with themed activities.
3) Short and actionable tips based on what worked for us this past week.
If this sounds good to you, I'd love for you to sign up and stay connected.
Thank you for the opportunity to share this with you!
#wearetogether,
Love,
Melita
P.S:
1) We are trying our best to send you content weekly on Fridays or Saturdays so you can plan ahead for the next week. However, we are a family of four and also run a small business. If we have to we might have to skip a week but we will make it up to you :).
2) Regardless of whether you are a stay at home mom or a working mom, or a part time stay at home and working mom (like I am), this situation is unprecedented. We are learning how to cope daily.
This journey is an evolving one for all of us, so I also wanted to say that if at any point you have something to share, or have feedback, please know I'm here to listen with open ears.
